Showery conditions in the North-central, Uva and Eastern provinces are expected to subside starting today, the Department of Meteorology says.Several spells of light showers will occur in Eastern and Uva provinces.Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Western, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m.Mainly fair weather will prevail in the other areas of the island.The public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
