New Delhi: The government on Thursday announced new rules to control social media, OTT platforms, and digital news media, as it mandated firms to appoint complaint officer, reveal the first begetter of the naughty information and remove, within 24 hours, content portraying nudity or morphed pictures of women.Concerns have actually been raised about rampant abuse of social media platforms and spread of phony news and the government is bringing in a soft touch policy, IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad stated while announcing the brand-new guidelines.
