Even before the farmers complete their breakfast and tea, the amounts will be credited into their savings bank accounts." This prompted the EC action on Monday.K Kavitha slams Congress over complaint to EC against BRS regarding Rythu Bandu schemeBoth the parties blamed each other for EC's action.

Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao alleged at a public meeting in Chevella that Congress leaders had gone to Delhi to complain to EC against the scheme and added that the grand old party's 'conspiracies' will work only till December 3.

He said the BRS government would disburse the amount to farmers from December 6 after taking over, adding that Rythu Bandhu is an ongoing scheme and farmers have been getting the benefit for the last five and a half years.A delegation led by Rajya Sabha MP K Keshava Rao and BRS's legal advisor Soma Bharat, which submitted a representation to Telangana chief electoral officer Vikas Raj, said Harish did not violate the model code of conduct by talking about disbursal before the polling day.

They said he merely thanked EC for allowing disbursement of the amount.

BRS working president KT Rama Rao said Congress, even before coming to power, was making sure that Rythu Bandhu amount should not reach the farmers.

"If people vote for Congress, it will scrap the Rythu Bandhu scheme completely," he warned.AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge blamed the BRS government's 'lust for power' and KCR's 'self-serving approach' for depriving the farmers of their due money.

"KCR's minister Harish Rao violated the model code of conduct.

KCR was lying to the people of Telangana about Rythu Bandhu, by blaming Congress," Kharge said.
