JANAKI, JANUARY 13Twelve individuals died when a passenger bus heading to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj plunged into the Rapti River at Bhaluwang in Dang on Friday night. The identity of the other deceased has not been established, said Superintendent of Police of Dang Ram Bahadur KC.

Photo: RSS Among the injured, eight are undergoing treatment at the Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur, Banke, Deputy Superintendent of Police in Kohalpur, Sundar Tiwari said.Other injured are undergoing treatment at Bhaluwang and Lamahi Hospital.The bus is operated by Namaste Transport.

The bus driver Lal Bahadur Nepali, 28, a resident of Salyan, has been detained by the police for necessary action. .
